Services for Mr. Eddie Joe Shaw, of Newton, will be held 2 pm, Monday, March 22, 2010 at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Union with Rev. Charles Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in the Newton County Memorial Cemetery with Milling Funeral Home of arrangements.
Mr. Shaw, 78, of Newton, died Friday, March 19, 2010 at his residence.
He was an active member of Post #89 American Legion in Decatur. He enjoyed going to horse sales and riding horses. He will be remembered as a very loving husband and friend to all who knew him.

He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Shaw, one sister Rebecca Anderson, 3 brothers, James Shaw, Dosie Paul Shaw, and Robert Shaw.
Pallbearers: Brian Shaw, Shane Shaw, Austin Shaw, Marty Shaw, Justin Shaw, Bobby Carey, Lee Carey, and Preston Shaw.
Honorary Pallbearers: Joe Clark, Marion Spears, and Jim Evans.
Visitation will be held 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm, Sunday, March 21, 2010. Milling Funeral Home of Union in charge of arrangements.
