Funeral Services for Mr. Edward A. “Eddie” Cox, age 68, of Frankville, Alabama will be held Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 11 A.M. from the Friendship Baptist Church in Frankville with Rev. Leon Harris and Rev. Edward Howard officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 P.M. Wednesday at Bumpers Funeral Home in Butler and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Mr. Cox passed away on Monday, March 22, 2010 at the Washington County Infirmary in Chatom. He was a retired maintenance supervisor for Georgia Pacific. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Cuban Crisis.
Mr. Cox was a member of Friendship Baptist Church where he faithfully served as deacon and church treasurer.
He is survived by his wife Johnnie M. Cox of Frankville; two sons Terry Wright of Frankville and Johnny Roy Stewart of Frankville; one daughter Debbie Rankin & Husband George of Faunsdale, Alabama; brother Johnny Cox & Wife Jackie of Mobile; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Milton and Ruth Maten Cox.
Bumpers Funeral Home of Butler will be in charge of arrangements.
