Althe J. Alawine, 77 of, Newton, MS, died Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Newton County Funeral Home - South in Newton (formerly known James F. Webb Funeral Home)with Rev. Randy Culpepper and Rev. Leroy Mosely officiating
Burial will be in Pine Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, Lawrence, MS.

Mrs. Alawine loved her family, she enjoyed being outside working in her garden and watching both deer and hummingbirds. She was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by: Husband: William E. Alawine Parents: Dewey and Ella Mae Culpepper Brothers: A.D. Culpepper, Admiral Culpepper, and Flint Culpepper; Sisters: Irma Crawford, Rachel Reynolds, and Elouise Slayton.
Survivors Include: Son:Billy J Alawine, Newton, MS; Daughters:Diane Alawine, Terry, MS, Deborah Williams, Lawrence, MS, and Michelle Alawine, Newton, MS.
Grandchildren: Christopher (Cori)Williams, Andrew Williams, Samuel Williams, and Ciara Patterson; two great-grandchildren: John Williams and Abby Williams. Numerous Nieces and Nephews
Visitation was held from 5:00pm - 8:00pm on Friday 04/02/2010 at the funeral home.
