Graveside services for Charlie Mae Little will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 2 P.M. at Good Hope Cemetery with the Rev. John West officiating. Newton County Funeral Home South, 100 Old Highway 15 Loop, Newton, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Little, 77, of Hickory, died Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at her home. She was born February 28, 1933 in Bailey. After she married, in 1950, she moved to Newton County, where she lived the rest of her life. She worked at the Decatur Shirt Factory, as a seamstress. She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years: Claude Earl Little; her grand-daughter: Tosha Elaine Little; her daughter-in-law: Lucille Little; her parents: Charlie Rogers and Mary Jenkins Rogers Holdiness; and her brother: Otis Ray Rogers
Survivors include her son: Charlie Earl LIttle , Hickory, MS; her duaghters: Gathel Dian (Daniel) Parker, Hickory, MS and Zula (Jeff) Stagg, Union, MS; her grandchildren: Shon (Heather) Little, Luke (Ginger) Little, Carrie (Jason) Whelchel, Zachary (Candace) Salers, Jessica (David) Parker-Hoffman, and Shana (Chris) Parker-Piepenburg; her great-grandchildren: Chloe Victoria Little, Georgia Mae Little, Hunter Little, Angel Shashonnah Parker, Gianna Elaine Little, Kiyah Whelchel, Caitlin Whelchel Presten Salers, and Bailey Rose Salers; her sisters: Helen Neal, Brandon, MS and Martha Elam, Jackson, formerly of Newton, MS; her special first cousin: Lou Ella Limerick, Bailey, MS
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 19, 2010 from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
