ANNIE BERTHA FOY, age 95, of Emelle, Alabama, born November 15, 1917 to Nathaniel and Fannie Amerson, passed August 7, 2013 in Specialty Hospital, Meridian, Mississippi. Service of remembrance is Monday, August 12, 2013 at 12:00 noon from New Jones Missionary Baptist Church, Emelle. Rev. Demetrius Hutchins will deliver the eulogy; Rev. Willie J. Evans is church pastor. Sis. Foy will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time. Interment follows in Thomas Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends was held Sunday evening from 3-6:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel. The procession leaves from the Foy residence at 11:40 a.m. Monday morning.
Those left to cherish precious memories of her are: six (6) daughters; Bonnie, Amy and Mary Foy, all of Emelle, Ala., Melevinia Bell, Emma Foy and Marjorie Foy, all of Ft. Dodge, Iowa; one daughter-in-law, Jesse Mae Foy, Boyd, Al., three (3) sons; Perry (Pamela) Foy of Gainesville, Al., Willie (Annie Pearl) Dial, Jr. of Emelle, Ala., and James (Margaret) Foy of Livingston, Al., three grandchildren that she raised as her own; Sabrina (Ron) Hutchins, and Shirley (Glenn) Burrell, both of Gainesville, Al., and Felicia Foy of Livingston, Ala., sixty-two (62) grandchildren; one hundred and eighty-one (181) great grandchildren; forty-two (42) great great grandchildren; a special friend, Mrs. Rena Johnson that she loved very much and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that she loved and they loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett D. Foy, four sons and two daughters.
