BEN "Brother" WILLIAM DELAINE, SR, age 84, of Cincinnati, Ohio, born to the late Allie Parker and Pallee Grant Delaine, passed September 22, 2012 at Jewish Hospital. Service of remembrance will be Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from Grants Chapel CME Church. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Grants Chapel, located 5290 Kinterbish 10, Cuba, Alabama. Rev. Izea Blanks is church pastor; his son Rev.Stephen J. Delaine is to deliver the eulogy with Ekandra Norwood serving as mistress of order. Interment follows in the Delaine family plot of Cagus Cemetery, also Cuba.
Those left to cherish memories and to celebrate his life are: daughters, Sonia Y. Delaine, C. Paulette Delaine and Valerie L. (Willis) Cox; sons, Ben W. Delaine, Jr., all of Cincinnati, Ohio; Rev. Stephen J. (Cassandra) Delaine of Austell, Ga., and James V. Delaine, Cincinnati, OH, eight (8) grandchildren, Danielle, Brittany, Bryan, Tiffany, Sarah, Ben William, III, Adrian, Myles, and Cory; eight (8) great grandchildren, Blake, Ebony, Vada, Breyanna, Sole, Eyana, Reagan and Logan; sisters- Pearl (Lewis) Swan, Elyria, Oh, Earnestine Pearce, Maywood, IL, Christine Delaine Douglasville, Ga., Melva Lee Delaine, Cuba, Ala., Patricia Foster, Chicago, IL, and Diann Delaine, Atlanta, Ga; brothers- Brad C. (Emma) Delaine, Eddie James (Sarah), Arthur Lee (Johnnie) Delaine, Rev. Charles Henry (Mattie) Delaine, all of Cuba, Al., and a host of nephews, nieces and numerous other relatives and friends who will truly miss him.
