Services for Ms. Beulah Lee Thompson Russell will be held 10 am, Monday, October 11, 2010, at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Union. Burial will be in the Newton County Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Rainer officiating. Milling Funeral Home of Union in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Beulah Lee Thompson Russell, 82, entered this life on January 23, 1928 and entered into rest on Saturday, October 9, 2010. She was loving, thoughtful, and always opened her home to family, friends, and neighbors. Her heart was her family and she gave openly and lovingly to them. She was a member of Erin Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Florence Ogletree Thompson, father, Robert Hamilton Thompson, and step-mother, Ella Mae Thompson; as well as her siblings, Robert Thompson, Sidney Thompson, H.T. Thompson and Zera Mae Crimm.
Survivors include: Husband of 64 years, Melburn Ross “Pete” Russell of Decatur, Daughter: Sandra Ree Russell Rainer and husband James Edward Rainer of Brandon, granddaughter: Misti Shea Rainer Carter and husband John Shane and two great granddaughters, Anna Kate Carter and Kara Beth Carter all of Brandon.
She is also survived by five nieces and five nephews that she loved dearly.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Erin Cumberland Presbyterian Church 2095 Andrew Milling Rd. Decatur, Ms. 39327.
Visitation will be held 5:30 pm- 8 pm, Sunday, October 10, 2010.
