Charles “Charlie” A. Levine
Funeral service for Charles “Charlie” A. Levine will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2014, at 2:30 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Father Sanchez officiating.
Mr. Levine, age 86, of Meridian passed away on Monday, August 11, 2014, at Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Levine grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he attended Holy Cross and was a member of the football team. He was in the United States Army and served in Japan during World War II. In 1971, he and his wife started Levine’s Office Supply and retired and closed his office supply company in 2006. Mr. Levine loved to jitterbug. He was a longtime member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Mr. Levine was a wonderful father and grandfather. He was a sweet kind hearted person and was a very devoted husband. He was married to the love of his life for sixty-one years.
Survivors include his wife, Violet Levine; children, Linda Cobb, Danny Levine and wife, Michelle, Rhonda Martin and husband, Mike and Patty Driskill and husband, Alan; grandchildren, Kim Boles, Christy Redmond, Ryan Motley and wife, Stephanie Motley, Patrick Sanders and Alex Levine; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Robinson, Emma Redmond and Landon Motley; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren by marriage; brother, Roy Levine and sister, Claire Breaux.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
