Charles William "Bill" Riggle, 62 of Newton, died Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Pioneer Community Hospital in Newton.

He enjoyed fishing, flying "ultralights", playing music, and spending time with his grandkids and family. He loved laughter and good friends. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Sand Springs Baptist Church. He was a happy man, always smiling.

Survivors Include his wife of 34 years: Sherry Riggle of Hickory; children: Charles William "Bill" Riggle, Jr., and wife Angie of Moundsville, WV; Freda Wilkerson of Newton; Thomas Riggle, and wife Tina of Wheeling, WV; Amy Norman of Hickory; and Sarah Fuller and husband, Lucas of Chattanooga, TN; mother and "Pop": Thelma and Reid Mackey, Sr. of Newton; five brothers: Lee Riggle, and wife Diane of Fresno, CA; Gene Riggle, and wife Lynn of Williamville, AZ; Reid Mackey, Jr., and wife Karen of Pioneer, CA; Brian Mackey, and wife Kim of Yankee Hill, CA; and Michael Mackey of Fiddletown, CA; two sisters: Robin Sprague, and husband Kevin of Fiddletown, CA and Shirley Hess of Weirton, WV.

He was known as "Pap" to his twelve grandchildren. Seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by father: Charles E. Riggle, Jr. and one great-granddaughter: Breanna Crawford

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: The American Cancer Society.
