Funeral services for Holly D. Hailey will be 11 A.M. , on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Salem Baptist Church in Preston with Bro. Jessie Napp officiating. Burial will be in Coy Methodist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 A.M. unti service time at the church on Thursday.
Mr. Hailey, 83, passed away early Tuesday morning in his home on Rock Creek Road in Union. Holly was a retired employee of 39 years with the MS Forestry Commission. He was also a Kemper County employee for 10 years. Mr. Hailey was also a farmer for many years.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years: Elaine S. Hailey of Union; three children: Kathy D. Shelby and husband Tommy Hogue; Tony L. Hailey and wife Cynthia Gail; and Martha L. Ross and husband Greylan all of Little Rock; grandchildren: Kandi A. Mitchell of Jackson, Shannon Sciple of Stratton and James Chip Sciple of Little Rock; Crystal Fox of Meridian; great-grandchildren: Gregory S. Mitchell of Meridian; Gregory S. Mitchell, II; Hannah L. Mitchell; Joshua R. Mitchell; Brandy Sciple; Jacob M. Smith; Shannon Sciple, Jr.; Bernece Sciple; Brittany Sciple; Bethany Sciple; Joseph Fox; Allyson Sciple; two sisters: Reva Pennington and husband Louis of Union; Helen Davis and husband Norman of Preston; his twin sister; Hazel G. Russell of Meridian; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hailey was preceded in death by one granddaughter: Brandy L. Blackwell; his parents: Jim and Nettie Vernon Hailey; His In-Laws: Clark and Ethel Stokes; and one brother: Bobby Lyle Hailey.
Pallbearers: Gregory Mitchell, Scott Mitchell, Joshua Mitchell, Rocky Higginbotham, Charles Massey, Shelton Fox and Shannon Sciple.
