Funeral services for Joseph Elliott “Joe” Mazingo, Sr., 62, of Eufaula, Alabama will be held Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 12 Noon at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel in Butler, Alabama with Rev. Jon Brown and Michael Bragg officiating. Burial will follow in the Marvin Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Mazingo a native of Choctaw County, Alabama passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama. He was a retried millwright.
Survivors include his wife Donna Mazingo of Eufaula; sons Joseph Elliott Mazingo, Jr. (Whitney) of New Orleans, LA; Sean Devaney (Bonita) of Athens, AL; Jason Mazingo of Brooklyn, MS; Joshua Rawson (Brenna) of Eufaula, AL; Brandon Mazingo (Debra) of Eufaula, AL; daughters Sherry Farrar of Columbus, GA; Shea Dykes (Mike) of Brandon, MS; Brandy Mazingo of Brooklyn, MS; twenty three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; mother Emma Lou Stafford Means of Butler, AL; step mother Sadie Mazingo of Butler, AL; sisters Louise Mazingo; Jackie Gibson; Wilma Mazingo; Deborah Herles; and Marcia Turner all of Butler, AL; step sister Dorothy Williams of Butler, AL; step brother William Means of Marietta, GA; many, many nieces and nephews; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Junior and Carol Robinson of Preston, MS; and sister-in-law Debbie Carney of Butler, AL.
He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Milton Mazingo; step father James Edward Means; grandson Joshua James Rawson II; and three step brothers James L. “Jimbo” Means; Otis Eugene Carney, Jr.; and Paul Edgar Carney.
Pallbearers are Dennis Bragg, Jeff Hendley, Keith Hendley, Joey Bozeman, Christopher Farrar, and Kelsey Farrar.
