Private Justin Blake Griffith, 22, passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 at his residence in Chunky,MS.
He graduated from Newton County High School with honors. He married Casey Johnson on May 18, 2013. He was the best husband and father a wife and children could possibly have. He was going through boot-camp to become a radar technician. He also loved music and playing and coaching sports. He showed his heart in everything that he did. He was what most will never find in a lifetime.
He leaves behind a wife, Casey Griffith; his mother, Polly Ann Ray Griffith of Chunky, MS; his father, James Eugene Griffith, Jr.; a father-in-law, Sargent James Robbie Vickers, Jr.; a mother-in-law, Dena C. Vickers; a step-son, Clay Ash Myatt; a step-daughter, Grace Anna Myatt; two brothers, James Eugene Griffith III of Chunky, MS and Joseph Lee Griffith of Chunky, MS; one grandmother, Rosalie Griffith of Meridian, MS, and one step-grandmother, Rhonda Ray of Texas.
Private Griffith is preceded in death by one brother-in-law , Micah Caleb Johnson, two grandfather’s, James Eugene Griffith, Sr. and Nathan Leon Ray, Jr. and one grandmother, Pauline Ray.
Visitation for Private Justin Blake Griffith will be held Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. The funeral services will be held at 1 pm Friday, December 27, 2013 at Newton County Funeral Home - South in Newton, MS with Bro. Jim Savell officiating. Burial will be in Mississippi Veterans Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. in Newton, MS.
Pallbearers will be the United States Army Honor Guard.
