LaKEISHA SHANTEL BELL, age 27, of Birmingham, Alabama, formerly of Sumter County, passed at her residence, March 26, 2013. Service of remembrance will be held Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Cuba, Alabama, with Rev. C. L. Walk, pastor, delivering the eulogy. Ms. Bell is to lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time. Interment follows in Cagus Cemetery, also Cuba. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled for Friday evening from 4-7:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel. The processional will leave the residence of Beatrice McCoy, located 7089 Lauderdale Toomsuba Road, Toomsuba, Miss. at 1:40 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

LaKeisha is survived by: her mother, Ms. Mary Bell; four sisters- Gabrielle M. Bell, Atlanta, Ga., Katrina Bell and Destiney Powe, Birmingham, Ala., and US Army Specialist Kenyatta Bell of Colorado Springs, Col; three brothers- James Bell, Atlanta, Ga., JaMarquis and DeAundre of Toomsuba, Ms; grandmother, Catherine (Joseph) Gillard of New Orleans, La; great grandmother, Willie Kate Bell of Toomsuba, Ms; numerous cousins and friends who will truly miss her.
