Marjorie P. Stephens

Graveside services for Marjorie P. Stephens 90, of York will be held Monday, April 2, 2012 at 1 P.M. from the York City Cemetery with Rev. David Wilkinson officiating.

Mrs. Stephens passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012 at her residence. She was a long time active member of the York Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter Linda Studdard of Ocean Springs, MS; brother Bill Powell (Eloise Lunsford Powell) of Baton Rouge, LA; sisters Imogene Grace and Annie Lee Grace of the Sumter Nursing Home in York; grandchild MaeBeth Grant Tappin (George) of Katy, TX; three great grandchildren Elizabeth Louise Stiglet of Seattle, WA; Kathryn Haley Stiglet and Mallory Lauren Stiglet of Katy, TX; sister-in-laws Genieve Jones Powell of Sumter Nursing Home in York; Marilyn Landcaster Powell of Ward, AL; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband William Langford Stephens; her brothers Bernard Powell of Epes; Norman Powell of Ward; Charlie Powell of Gadsden; her sister Adele Steinwinder of York; her sister-in-law Jeanette Bachelor Powell of Gadsden; her brother-in-laws Claude Grace and Clyde Grace of York; her grandson Warren C. Grant, III.

Honorary Pallbearers are the Men of the York Baptist Church and Mrs. Marjorie’s Sunday School Class at York Baptist Church.
