Funeral services for Mary Anne Eldridge, 69, of Lavaca will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 1 P.M. at the Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. John Pemberton, Rev. David Manasco, and Rev. Jerry Higdon officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the Hopewell Baptist Fellowship Hall from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. prior to the service.
Mrs. Eldridge passed away April 25, 2014 at M.D. Anderson in Houston, Texas.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Ray Eldridge; her daughters Linda Anne Ezell Glass of Lavaca and Sandy Eldridge Stanard (Will) of Tuscaloosa; grandchildren Alex Glass of Learned, MS; Wood Glass of Lavaca; and Mary Elizabeth and James Stanard of Tuscaloosa. She is also survived by her brothers, Charles Loftis, Mitchell Loftis, and Howard Loftis.
Born April 8, 1945, in Butler, Alabama, Mary Anne Eldridge was the daughter of Charles McAllister Loftis and Elizabeth Jacobs Lambert. She worked for many years at Vanity Fair and later at Regions Bank. She was a dedicated, longtime member of Hopewell Baptist Church, who lovingly gave of herself to her family, church, and community.
Pallbearers will be Charles Loftis, Jr., Tommy Loftis, Harold Agee, Brannon Eldridge, Scott Eldridge, Jake Eldridge, Cody Eldridge, and Sam Lowe.
