Mary Etta Baggett Clark
A family memorial service will be held at a later date for Mary Etta Baggett Clark who died peacefully on Wednesday, December 18, 2013, with her family. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Clark was born in Walker, Louisiana, on July 13, 1940. In 1949, her family moved to Meridian, Mississippi, where she lived until 1965 when she married Sam Clark and moved to West Point, Mississippi. It was there she lived and cared for her family until her husband’s death in 1988. After his death, Mary spent her time between Meridian, MS, and Alabaster, AL, to be close to her mother and her children.
She is survived by three children, Michele Roberts (Terry), Keila Ward (Matt), and Jennifer Clark; grandchildren, Brandee Alonzo (Chris), Justin Roberts (Rachel), and Samra Ward; great grandchildren, Krista Alonzo, Christine Alonzo, Kylee Alonzo, Chase Alonzo, and Baby Roberts, who is due in August. She is also survived by two sisters, Lois Zahnd (Ronnie) of Huntsville, Texas, and Kathy Koch of Meridian, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel G. Clark; her parents, J.W. Baggett and Ruth Goldman Baggett; a sister, Walterine Baggett; and a brother, W.A. Baggett.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to: Church of the Mediator - Noel Nichols fund, P.O Box 3400, Meridian, MS 39303 with Mrs. Clark’s name in the memo line.
