Funeral services for Mary Jane Melton Elliott, 100, of Womack Hill were held Monday, September 24, 2012 at 2 P.M. from the Chapel of Bumpers Funeral Home with Rev. Loen Ross officiating. Burial followed in the Womack Hill Cemetery. Visitation was one hour prior to the service.
Ms. Elliott passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Willow Trace Nursing Center in Butler. She was born March 11, 1912 to Walter Scott and Alma Perry Melton. Ms. Elliott was a former school teacher and factory worker for Soloman Brothers.
Survivors include her sister Norma Henry Gibson of Gilbertown; nieces Iris Duren, Gayle Walters, Nanette Bennett, and Anita Dunham Cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband W.M. Elliott in 1978.
Pallbearers were Joe Craddell, Greg Jenkins, Doug Duren, Pedro Scurlock, Tommy Littlepage, and Milton Manley.
Honorary Pallbearers were Raymond Bennett, Dennis Duren, and Bill Logan.
