Mira Naomi Blackmon Pace, 93 of Meridian, MS, died Saturday, July 14, 2012, at J T Champion Nursing Facility in Meridian, MS. Graveside services will be 10 AM Tuesday, July 17, at Newton County Memorial Gardens in Newton, MS with Bro. Wayne Sellers officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 AM - 10 AM Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.. Newton County Funeral Home North, Newton, MS is in charge of arrangements 601-635-3200.

Mrs. Pace loved to read , gardening, sewing, and spending time with her Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren. She was a member of First Methodist Protestant Church in Newton.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Helen Reeves and Judy Bounds of Newton, MS; 2 sons:Charles Rogers Pace, Newton, MS and Ellie Woodson (Butch) Pace, Brandon, MS; 10 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, and numerous Nieces & Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Husband:Thomas Jefferson Pace; Mother:Sallie Madeline Miller; Father:Ellie Naomi Blackmon; Son: John Thomas Pace; Grandson: William Patrick Reeves; 2 Son In Laws: Johnnie Reeves and Rodney A Bounds; 4 Sisters; and 2 Brothers.
