Funeral services for Mr. George Edward Daniel, 80, of Toxey will be held Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 2 P.M. from Red Springs Assembly with Rev. Jerry Turner, Rev. Kendall Turner, and Rev. Jimmy Vance officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 P.M. at Bumpers Funeral Home and Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Daniel passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Rush Hospital in Meridian. He was retired from the Choctaw County Road Crew.
Survivors include children Glenda Ruth Seeling (Dave) of Kenner, LA; George Edward “Eddie” Daniel (Lisa) of Butler; Lena Runette Presley (Roger) of Gilbertown; Ezra Ray “Ezie” Daniel of Gilbertown; and Kimberly “Kim” Lynn Wilson (David) of Gilbertown; brother Billy Ray Daniel (Yvonne) of Gilbertown; sister Wilma Tyson (Wayne) of Toxey; 8 grandchildren Morgan Etheredge (Jeff), April Mitchum, Will Daniel, Misty Presley (Justin), Jill Daniel, Sarah Beth Presley, Adam Wilson, and Aaron Wilson; and 10 great grandchildren Bayleigh Etheredge, Haley Presley, Britney Presley, Conner Carter, Dylan Daniel, Alexis Daniel, Madison Daniel, Catherine Presley, Parker Daniel, and Juliet Cooper.
He was preceded in death by his wife Sara Ruth Daniel; parents Willie Edward and Lena Bridges Daniel; and three sisters Lula Mae Chapman, Gladys Rhodes, and Betty Jo Laviolette.
Pallbearers are Adam Wilson, Audie Laviolette, Jeffrey “Jeff” Rhodes, Buford Tyson, Bro. Chris Nihart, and Bro. Nick Purvis.
Honorary Pallbearers are his dear nephews and his brothers in Christ of the Red Springs Assembly.
