Services for Services for Mr. Johnnie L. Loper will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday August 4, 2013 at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Union. Reverends Guy McGarity and Oliver Robbins will officiate. Interment will be in Newton County Memorial Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday August 4, 2013 prior to the service. Milling Funeral Home of Union in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Johnnie L. Loper, 81, of Union, passed away Friday August 2, 2013 at Laird Hospital in Union.
Survivors include:
Loving wife of 60 years: Willie B. Loper of Union
2 sons Derrell Loper and wife Renee of Dalewood; and Joel Loper and wife Dawn of Philadelphia
1 daughter Darlene Rigdon and husband J.T. of Union
5 grandchildren: Casey Bridges and wife Amber; Alex Rigdon; Garrett Loper; Gage Loper; and Abbi Loper
1 great grandson Colton Bridges
1 sister Erma J. Quick of Carthage
1 brother Melvin Loper of Arizona
He is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Loper is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Maude Loper; 1 sister, Hazel Smith; and 5 brothers, Edward Loper, Howard Loper, Reba Loper, Odell Loper, and Grady Loper.
Mr. Johnnie L. Loper was born and raised in Neshoba County. He married and moved to Newton County where he lived and reared his family, in the Stratton community, for 40 years. He retired from Esco Corp. in 1993. Mr. Loper enjoyed farming and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Pallbearers: Casey Bridges, Alex Rigdon, Lavelle Chesney, Tim McMullan, Coy McMullan, and Gilbert Loper.
