Services for Mr. Kenny Burns of Union will be held 3 pm, Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Union with burial in Union City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 5-8 pm, Friday, August 16, 2013 at Milling Funeral Home.
Mr. Burns, 65, of Union, died Thursday, August 15, 2013 at his residence.
Mr. Burns retired after 40 years of service with Illinois Central and Canadian National Railroad. He was a member of Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers for 39 years, serving as Secretary for 8 years. He was also a member of Mt. Zion Congregational Methodist Church.
Survivors include: Wife of 46 years, Betty Burns of Union, one daughter, Melissa Ogletree and husband Jim of Union, three sons, Ufa Burns and wife Jessica of Union, Jason Burns of Union and John Burns and wife Marley of Union
Eight Grandchildren: Andy Ogletree, Eric Ogletree, Colin Ogletree, Ryane Burns, Carter Burns, Nathan Burns, Natalie Burns and Kenley Burns
One Sister: Martha Colvin and husband Gene of Bastrop, LA
Mr. Burns was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Rethia Burns; one brother, William Allen Burns; one niece and Amanda Burns.
Pallbearers: Danny Burns, Steve Nance, Mike French, Clay Burns, Jerry Banks and Ragan Burns
