Funeral Services for Mr. Raymond E. Wainright, age 84 of Butler were held on Friday, December 31, 2010 at 2 P.M. from the Chapel of Bumpers Funeral Home with Rev. David Manasco and Rev. Danny Nelson officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Sterling Cemetery.
Raymond Everett Wainright was born on August 7, 1926 in Mt. Sterling, Alabama and passed away on December 29, 2010 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, Mississippi. Mr. Wainright was a retired butcher.
He was preceded in death by his parents Les and Myrtie Wainright; son Ray Wainright, brothers Cecil, Norman, J.B., and Glenn Wainright.
Mr. Wainright is survived by his wife of 60 years, Verna Wainright of Butler; daughter Kay Gray (Rick) of Butler; brothers Charlie Wainright of Putnam; Henry Grady Wainright of Jemison; grandchildren Jerry McKenzie (Yvonne), Scotty McKenzie, Jason Wainright, Jonathan McKenzie, Steven Charlton, Emily Gray; great grandchildren Katie, Drake, Dalton Laila, Tucker, Clark, Hunter, Luke, Decker, and Piper McKenzie; host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers: Jason Wainright, Steven Charlton, Darron Jenkins, Johnny Minor, Marvin Minor, Bruce Herndon, Jeff Rank, and Lance Ingram. Honorary Pallbearers: Jimmy Newton, Harold Jenkins, Jessie Johnson, and Arron Keeton.
