Mr. Norman Wilson Hollingsworth, 91 of Decatur, MS, died Monday,May 13, 2013 at his residence in Decatur, MS. Funeral services will be 3 PM, Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Newton County Funeral Home South Chapel with Elder Hilton Moore & Elder Jerry Wilkerson officiating. Visitation will be from 6 PM - 8 PM Tuesday, May 14 at Newton County Funeral Home South. Burial will be in Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Newton County Funeral Home South, 100 Old Hwy 15 Loop, Newton, MS is in charge of arrangements 601-683-2152.

Mr. Hollingsworth was a Member of Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church, loved farming, gardening, & working outdoors. He faithfully maintained the Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church & Cemetery grounds for many years. He retired from Newton County Gin with over 40 years of service. He was a WWII Veteran who was active in the Storming of the Beach at Normandy.

He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years: Elizabeth Hollingsworth, Decatur, MS; 2 Sisters: Lessie King , Bay Springs, MS, & Nina Hillman, TN; & numerous Nieces & Nephews.

He was preceded in death by: Parents:George & Onie Wyatt Hollingsworth; Son: Norman Wilson Hollingsworth Jr; 3 Brothers: Edison Hollingsworth, Earl Hollingsworth, & Elton Hollingsworth; & 1 Sister: Gertie Williams
