Graveside services for Raymond Ellis Ford, Jr. 81, of Butler will be held Sunday, April 28, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. from the Butler City Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Watson and Rev. Scottie Fulcher officiating. There will be no visitation for Mr. Ford.
Survivors include his wife Doris Todd Ford of Butler, AL; sons, Richard Charles Ford and wife Nancy of Bay Minnette, AL, Mark J. Ford of Butler; daughter Beverly Ford Blount and husband Durwood of Butler. 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond E. Ford Sr. and Ruth Means Ford and by his aunt and uncle that raised him Ed Oscar Ford and Pauline Means Ford. One son Raymond Ford III One sister Beatrice Ford Hearn and one granddaughter Amber Blount Phillips.
Mr. Ford was a retired maintenance supervisor with James River paper mill. He was also a US army veteran serving in the Korean War.
He passed away April 26, 2013 at his residence in Butler.
Pallbearers are Matthew Lee Blount, Jeremy Ford Blount, Randy Ford, Jeff Koster, Steve Dahl, Durwood Blount.
