Funeral services for Raymond Osborn “Sam” Boutwell will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Newton County North Chapel with Bro. Joe Garvin and Bro. Nathan Case officiating. Burial will be in Newton County Memorial Gardens. Newton County Funeral Home North, 9998 Hwy 15 North, Newton, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Boutwell, 82 of Newton, MS, died Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Bedford Care Center. He was a member of Garlandville Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening & raising beef cattle.
Survivors Include: Wife of almost 62 years, whom he wed, November 24, 1948: Lillian Grantham Boutwell, Newton Son: Raymond Osborn Boutwell, Jr. & wife Sheila, Brookhaven Son: Wendell Ray Boutwell & wife Pam, Newton Brother: Kenneth Boutwell, Newton Sister: Lena Pearl Griffin, Ripley Grandson: Johnathan Boutwell & wife Anndrea, Newton Granddaughter: Lori Ann Case & husband Nathan, Brookhaven Granddaughter: Samantha Erin Rushing & husband Adam, Brookhaven Grandson: Ethan James Boutwell, Brookhaven Great Granddaughters: Baleigh Boutwell, Newton Raylen Boutwell, Newton Madison Boutwell, Newton
He was preceded in death by: Parents: Green Marshall and Dovie Lee Magee Boutwell Sister: Lucille Montgomery

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday, November 8, 2010 at the funeral home.
