Funeral services for Rudy E. Williams, 84, of Butler will be held Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 12 Noon at the Chapel of Bumpers Funeral Home with Rocky Bumpers and Max Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Williams passed away Monday, May 13, 2013 at Colonel Robert L. Howard Veteran’s Home in Pell City, Alabama. He was retired from American Can Paper Mill in Pennington. He was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran.
Survivors include his children Michael Williams of Butler; Debbie Williams Perry (Fred) of Newnan, Georgia; Patty Harris (Al) of Meridian, MS; Jennifer Clark (Robbie) of Butler; sister Donna Ann Williams Ruiz of San Antonia, TX; grandchildren Lindsay Perry, Emily Clark, Heath Harris, and Luke Clark.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joan Williams; parents Earl and Esther Williams; brother Hugo Williams and sister Patricia Myers.
Pallbearers are Robbie Clark, Luke Clark, Al Harris, Heath Harris, Fred Perry, and Tim Brannan. Honorary pallbearers are Little Max Edwards, Mark Ezell, and Dub Ezell.
