Virginia Dale Wilkerson

Funeral services for Virginia Dale Wilkerson will be held at 10 A.M., on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Newton County Funeral Home with Bro. Brent Parks and Bro. Lavelle Hillman. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Newton County Funeral Home South, 100 Old Highway 15 Loop, Newton is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Friday, September 21, 2012 at the fuenral home, and on Saturday one hour prior to the services.

Mrs. Wilkerson, 72 of Marion, formerly of Newton, died Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Beford Care Center in Marion. She enjoyed nature and animals. She loved people and visiting and helping others, giving of her time and talent to those in need. She was homemaker and a member of Newton Church of Christ.

Survivors include: two daughters: Betty (Ted) Valentine of Lawrence, and Brenda Wilkerson and Sonia Garcia of Fontana, CA; one grandson: Rob (Emily) Walsh of Chunky; three brothers: Walter Bryant of Philadelphia; W.R. Bryant of Little Rock; and Wayne Bryant of Arkansas

She was preceded in death by her husband: Henry Wilkerson; her parents: William "Bill" & Alice Trible Bryant; and her sister: Lina Bryant

Pallbearers will be Chris Hillman, Mike Spence, Mark Spence, Ben Lang, Clarence Allen, and Clifton McMullan.
