Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour is rejecting suggestions that South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford should resign.
Speaking Thursday, Barbour maintained that Sanford should remain in office and that it's up to the governor and South Carolina voters to decide his political future.
Barbour took over leadership of the Republican Governors Association after Sanford resigned from that position following his admission of an affair with a woman in Argentina.
Barbour was asked about the matter during a taping of the public television show, "Iowa Press." He was in Des Moines to speak at a Republican Party fundraiser Thursday night.

Now this is some beautiful logic on display: Clinton did something wrong and got impeached for it, therefore, everyone else is entitled to do wrong things with absolutely no consequences. Sanford's problem isn't what he did, it's the hypocrisy of preaching one thing then doing the exact opposite.

Yeah, just like Bill "Monica Lewinsky" Clinton. But of course, that's O.K. because he's a Democrat.
