Voters in the Mississippi House District 82 special election runoff will go to the polls Tuesday. Saturday is the last day for qualified voters to cast absentee ballots.

The Lauderdale County Circuit Clerk's Office will be open from 8 a.m. to 12 noon June 27 for people to do that.

Circuit Clerk Donna Jill Johnson says she's hoping for a good turnout.

"We cannot emphasize enough, please refer to your voter registration card, to see if you;re eligible," Johnson said. "There are only 12 precincts open for this election. Please refer to your card to look for House 82. If you're not sure, please call our office. "

The two men running for that seat will debate in a special edition of WTOK's On the Record Sunday.

Bill Marcy and Wilbert Jones will take the entire thirty minutes, without commercial interruption, to talk about their ideas and the issues.

The program airs June 28 at 5:30 p.m. on WTOK, 11.1.
