Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients

  • 8 slices white bread, torn into small pieces
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 tall can evaporated milk
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 soup can of water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. hot sauce
  • 1 lb. ground sausage, browned

    Directions

    1. Place bread in greased 9X13 baking dish. Place cheese over bread. Cover with browned sausage.



    2. Beat eggs with milk, black pepper, salt, and hot sauce. Stir in soup, mushrooms and water. Pour over mixture in baking dish.



    3. Bake at 375° for 20-25 minutes or until firm.



    ** Casserole freezes well. Thaw in fridge for 24 hours before baking.
