Ingredients
3 qt. water
1/2 cup beef base
1/4 cup chicken base
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. white pepper
2 large yellow onions
1 red onion
16 oz. red wine
1/2 stick butter
Directions
1. Mix water, butter, beef and chicken bases and bring to a boil.
2. Slice onions into small strips and place in boiling water.
3. Add spices and wine.
4. Allow soup to boil until onions are not crunchy.
5. Serve with crackers and shredded Swiss cheese.
