Ingredients
Cake
2 cups sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 sticks butter
Pinch of salt
3 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
3 cups cake flour
Filling
8 oz. cream cheese
1 stick butter
3 Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups coconut
Bag/jar of almonds (sliced or whole)
A little cream or milk if needed
Directions
Cake
1. Cream butter and sugar together.
2. Add eggs one at a time and beat in mixer.
3. Add baking soda, vanilla, salt and buttermilk.
4. Then fold in flour and bake in 9-inch pans at 350° oven.
Filling
1. Cream the cream cheese, butter, cocoa, vanilla and milk together, then add coconut.
2. Spread on cake.
3. Decorate with almonds.
