5 - 6 medium sized onions, peeled and sliced
1/4 lb. butter
4 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup milk
4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
4 tsp. chopped pimento
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. salt
1. Preheat oven to 400°.
2. Place onion rings in 9 x 13 casserole dish. Drizzle melted butter over them.
3. Mix the cream cheese, milk and crumbled bacon, salt and pepper to make a thick paste. Spoon this mixture over the onions.
4. Cover casserole with foil wrap and bake approximately 30 minutes or until onions are tender crisp.
5. Sprinkle grated cheese over hot casserole and garnish with pimento.
