Lemon or Strawberry Sorbet



  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice or 1/2 cup pureed strawberries


    Simple Syrup

    1. Combine sugar and water and bring to a rolling boil.

    2. Cool the mixture and strain through a coffee filter.

    3. Refrigerate overnight.


    1. Combine 1 cup simple syrup and lemon juice or strawberries, mix well and freeze for about 12 hours.

    2. After mixture is frozen, remove and shave ice with a spoon and form a small ball.

    Note: This can be used in an ice-cream maker as well. Just follow the manufacturer's instructions.
