Students in Demopolis had the chance to become acquainted with business people and learn about possibly future careers.
Almost 30 representatives from colleges and businesses took part in the College and Career Fair at John Essex High School in Demopolis.
Organizers say these type career fairs are perhaps more important now than ever.
"We are faced with such alarming high school dropout rates.," said school counselor, Clemmie Hilton. "So, we want to begin now to leave a mark on the minds and hearts of our students to know that there is a reason for an education, because there is life after K through 12."
WTOK was proud to also take part in the event.
