The Meridian School Board has called a special meeting for 12 noon Wednesday to address the selection of a new superintendent, and that person's contract.

The meeting at the central office will be followed by a news conference.

The board has spent several months searching for a new district superintendent. Current superintendent Sylvia Autry is retiring.
