The Wesley House is asking anyone who can to donate uniforms for Lauderdale County school children. The organization says it's running extremely low on these items that are needed by local students.

All Lauderdale County students are required to wear the uniforms, and Wesley House officials say not having them presents a real hardship.

"We've got a folder thick of children that we have to fill for Lauderdale County," said executive director Ginger Stevens. "So we need uniforms that are blue, white, khaki pants and that kind of thing, but we really need a lot of blue and white shirts. "

Stevens said The Wesley House will also need donations of uniforms for Meridian Public Schools before the city students start the new year Aug. 18.
