Delta Kappa Gamma Donates to Wesley House

Members of Delta Kappa Gamma made a contribution Thursday that will keep on giving.

The organization delivered school supplies and books to Wesley House, for its after-school programs.

Cheryl Thomas, a member of DKG and also principal at Clarkdale, said the group believes the after-school programs help children, and the materials will help them be better readers and help them excel in school.

Delta Kappa Gamma is an international honor society of women educators. Its membership is active in fourteen countries.

Preschool education is one of the keys to helping children who are not ready for school. Headstart is not teaching the children harder material so the teachers can teach every student to be successful.
