In her annual report to the Meridian school board, Superintendant Sylvia Autry laid out four goals for the 2003-2004 school year.
1. Improve student performance.
2. Develop a high quality pre-kindergarten program.
3. Develop an administrative team committed to the mission.
4. Address critical needs at meridian high school.
"All four hit right at the heart of the issues that this district needs to address," said board president Fred Wile. "And I think she's done an excellent job of presenting that, not only to the board but to the community. And from what I can see, she's right on track on all those, on accomplishing all those objectives."
The report also laid out how the district plans to achieve those goals.
