The students had to research a famous American for six weeks,
make a costume, and act like that person during several plays at
their school.

"It has been a lot of fun. We got to see different people and how they had to struggle and what they had to go through and helped to make life easier for Americans," said West Lauderdale Elementary teacher Elaine Sorrels.

Over 700 students from kingergarten through fourth grade were able to attend the plays Friday. the program was also presented to the West Lauderdale Elementary PTO.
