The forum covered a variety of issues. However, all topics focused on the future of Meridian's public schools. It was a full forum. District officials say they want to bring parents into the process of improving schools and academic performance.

"We want them to know what programs we have to offer and if they can help us do what we are doing. We want their help in a partnership," said school board president, Edward Lynch.

The district's superintendent says he wants to create a partnership.

"We want them to know what programs we have to offer and if they can help us do what we are doing we want their help in a partnership," said Charlie Kent.

The forum was held at the Frank Cochran Center.
