A news release from the White House says First Lady Michelle Obama will visit Mississippi Mar. 3 and be joined by Gov. Haley Barbour and his wife, Marsha, at a school to discuss ways to promote health eating, nutrition education and physical activity in schools.
Obama will hear from school officials and experts about local efforts to combat childhood obesity.
The first lady's campaign on obesity has four parts: helping parents make better food choices, serving healthier food in school vending machines and lunch lines, making healthy food more available and affordable, and encouraging children to exercise more.
