Children at West Lauderdale Elementary School presented a gift to the American Red Cross Key Chapter Thursday.
Students raised money through the "Hearts for Haiti" auction.
Children created works of art using a heart theme, then sold them to the highest bidder. More than $2,700 was raised for Haiti relief.
"A lot of the skills that we work on in Quest cover creativity," said teacher Sabrina Dalton. "And we also like to focus on global awareness, letting them things are going on elsewhere, you know, outside of our country and that people need help. And we just wanted them to be able to participate in helping other people in other parts of the world."
Parents, community members, grandparents, friends, teachers, and even other students participated in the bidding.
