Two bogus bomb threats were made by phone around 10:30 a.m. Thursday to Marion Park Alternative School and Ross Collins Vocational-Technical Center.
Students were moved to a safe location outside of the buildings and teachers took class roll to account for all students, faculty and staff.
"Everybody involved and everybody that needed to have a crisis management plan or a crisis management manual had one. The high school, all the buildings have one. Everybody knew that was the first thing to do, go down the check list," said Dr. Terry Larabee, interim superintendent. "Calling law enforcement, notifying everybody, getting everybody out of the buildings and going step by step. So there was a procedure in place and that helped us through this process."
Law enforcement did a sweep of the buildings and found nothing threatening.
School officials say if and when the person who made the threats is found, they will be dealt with by local law enforcement.
