Students and staff are being encouraged to wear Wildcat Blue to show support for Meridian High School.
Community members are also asked to join in and come for a tour of the campus Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will also be special events through the day.
"This is Meridian High School and the high school belongs to the city of Meridian," said MHS principal Victor Hubbard. "It is a day to show, that the community actually can show our students that they are actually behind them in their endeavors to reach that goal of obtaining a high school diploma."
There will be information available about small learning communities. The Lamplighters will perform. And the Wildcat Players will present "Seussical the Musical" at
9 a.m., 1 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium.
Tickets are $7 for adults (18 and over), $5 for students, teachers (with ID), and military (with ID), and free for children 4 years old and under. Families of four will get a discounted price of $20.
The MHS Wildcat Players are joining forces with the MHS Choir and Band to present this musical as their spring production.
