GED Registration This Week

If you're interested in getting your GED, Meridian Community College has some help for you. And it's even free.

MCC is conducting GED registration this week for those who want to get their general equivalency diploma.

GED classes are offered over a nine to 10-week period. There is a fee for taking the GED test, but the preparation classes are free.

"It's very important to get your GED in today's times, because in today's job market, without some type of skill you are limited to what type of work you can do," said GED recruiter/examiner James Gray. "So the first step in acquiring that skill is acquiring your GED."

Anyone interested in registering for free GED classes may still do so.

Sessions are set for Thursday, 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Friday, 9 a.m. to 12 noon, in the MCC chapel.

If you have questions, contact Gray at 601-484-8798.
