The Meridian School Board met Thursday, and the meeting included words from MHS principal, Victor Hubbard.

Hubbard just finished his second year as the leader at Meridian High.

He spoke to the board about block scheduling, which would mean more time in fewer classes for MHS students.

Hubbard says he thinks block scheduling is vital for the success of high school students in the district.

"Number one, the students will be in longer classes," explains Hubbard, "and it gives teachers a chance to do more tutoring within the class periods."

Hubbard also spoke to the board about offering more courses for college credit at MHS.
