Lauderdale County schools are now back in session, along with others in Mississippi.
The students and staff at Southeast High School got off to a good start Wednesday. All the teachers wore t-shirts bearing the words 'Agents of Change'.
The Lauderdale County School District has been preparing its teachers in recent days for the new year.
"Things are going great," said Julius Moore, Southeast High School principal. "(We've) got a lot of exciting things coming up this year at Southeast High School. We've got a great staff, great students, really looking forward to a great year. And we're excited about getting started."
Moore says he expects the students to rise to the occasion and have a great school year.
