The Head of the Class awards recognize outstanding students in technical and career education in grades 10-12.
Meridian High's Jadarius Patton won "Highest Overall Career and Technical Student".
The award for "Most Improved Career and Technical Student" went to Jasmine Terrell.
"She loves teaching. She works at a daycare after school," said Laurel Rigdon, teacher academy instructor. "He loves working with children. She has brought her grades up to As and Bs and she has always got a smile on her face. She has a positive attitude. She's just really a good student."
"He's a self-starter. He's a self-learner," said drafting instructor Carroll Lewis of Jadarius. "And he has got a good attitude. He's a team leader. He's always on the team and he's just a top-notch young man."
Head of the Class winners will be honored at a breakfast Thursday, along with a person from their school who has made the most impact on their education.
