The JROTC program at Meridian High School had its regional inspection Wednesday. This scrutiny comes every three years.
The unit was inspected in regard to their uniforms and formation. They also were tested on their marching and color guard program.
"Our goal, our mission, our purpose, is to motivate young people to be better citizens," said James Howard, Sr., senior Army instructor. "And this is a way for them to see discipline through the JROTC program. The JROTC program is here to build a foundation."
The MHS JROTC has 250 cadets.
